A fun take on the traditional gingerbread house with more emphasis placed on the front of the house. Multi-colored gumdrops form a narrow little path out of the snow, bringing more focus on the frosting and candied details of the front door. Cute Halloween Gingerbread House with Pumpkin Decor
I enjoy exploring the world through food, culture, and travel and sharing the adventure with mostly from-scratch, family friendly recipes that I think of as modern comfort cooking. If you plan on piping on windows, spiderwebs, or other decorations with royal icing, you will want to do that BEFORE assembling the house. That will give them time to dry and make it so much easier than piping on vertical walls.
Carefully transfer the pieces to baking sheets lined with parchment paper. I prefer making it with meringue powder and water, but you can also use egg whites instead.
